Candice Swanepoel is a 31 years model. She is known for being one of the most symbolic angels of Victoria´s Secret, but the truth is that there are many other jobs by which you should know her.
She was born 1988 in Mooi River, in KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa). She is from an Afrikaner family, made up by her parents, Willen and Eilee, and her brother Stephen. She spent all her childhood in a farm and at the age of 15 she was discovered by a model scout called Kevin Ellis in a Durban street market. From this moment, she has been on the catwalks of the best fashion brands and in the front pages of the best known magazines.
Swanepoel gave birth her first child, called Anaca, in 2016; and in 2018 she gave birth her second child called Ariel. The blue – eyed model is one of the most iconic and internationally admired ones; not only for her innate beauty, but for her story and charisma.
Fashion shows and covers
Her first jobs as model were carried out at Durban, but her first great appearance was in Tommy Hilfiger fashion show for its spring – summer collection in 2006, in September 2005. She also modelled for Dolce & Gabbana and she appeared in the front pages of the great magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Elle and Bazaar. Between 2010 and 2012 she also appeared in Marie Claire (South Africa), Vogue (France and Italy), GQ (UK) among others, and in the catwalk of different designers such as Tom Ford and Versace.
In 2007 she began to work for Victoria´s Secret and in 2010 she became the angel of the brand. In 2013, she opened the fashion show wearing the fantasy bra of the year, called ‘Royal Fantasy Bra’, a brassiere created by Mouawad and valued in 10 million dollars. The bra and its belt consisted of more than 4.200 gemstones, including rubies, diamonds and sapphires plated in 18 carat gold with a 52 carat ruby in the middle. During her time in Victoria´s Secret, Candice participated in 11 fashion shows, opening 3 of them and closing 1.

The sexiest woman in the world
It is not difficult to believe that she has won this mention many times. She has been chosen several times as one of the 100 Sexiest Women in the World by the British magazine FHM.
The male magazine Maxim enlisted her in the first place of the Hot 100 List in 2014.
And in 2018 the same magazine enlisted her in the exclusive group of celebrities that were considered the most beautiful ones in the world.

Swanepoel débuted in the top ten of Forbes best paid models, with profits of almost three million Euros between 2010 and 2011, and in 2016 she was placed in the eighth position with earnings of almost seven million Euros.

Candice participates together with the model Christy Turlington in Mother2Mother, a charity organization dedicated to achieve HIV – free generation of mothers and children in Africa. Swanepoel designs denims for them.
TROPIC of C
Candice launched her first swimsuit collection called Tropic of C at the end of 2017, in which she participates as model. Candice inspired herself in nature and in the female body in order to create an eco – friendly brand to spend time at the beach.
In 2019 the brand was awarded the Launch of the Year Prize in the Fashion Los Angeles Awards.
